Not everyone needs the Denali five-piece outdoor utility kit. For example, if you never leave your house, you probably won't need this handy tool kit. But for everyone else, this is a must-have item. The kit includes a shovel, hatchet, flashlight, pruning saw, and multipurpose tool. The 23 1/2-inch-long folding shovel collapses to a mere 9 1/2 inches. Its 6-inch-wide steel blade can be locked straight for digging, or at a right angle for use as a pick. The 11-inch-long hatchet has a double-sided head that can be used for chopping wood and hammering in tent stakes. The full-size aluminum flashlight operates on two D-cell batteries (not included) and features a tilting head that allows you to direct light precisely where it's needed. The flashlight is also designed to stand upright for convenient hands-free use. The pruning saw has an aggressive-cutting, 8-inch-long blade that can quickly cut through branches, vines, kindling and small-dimension lumber. The 17 1/2-inch-long pruning saw has a comfortable rubber handle and it folds in half for safe storage. The versatile multipurpose tool has a pair of wire-cutting pliers and 10 different foldaway blades that store in the tool's handles. Included are: knife, wood saw, awl, fish scaler with ruler, file, can opener, lanyard, bottle opener, slotted screwdriver, and Philips screwdriver. The multipurpose tool and all of its implements, folds into a pocket-size package measuring only 3/4 inches thick by 1 1/4 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches long. All five tools fit into a convenient zippered carrying case that measures about 3 by 12 by 13 inches, so the kit is small enough to fit in car trunks, behind truck seats, or in a backpack.
